Jamie has performed with a number of blues greats including John Lee Hooker, James Cotton, Buddy Guy & Jr. Wells, Hubert Sumlin, Big Joe Turner, The Fabulous Thunderbirds, and many others.

Jamie has produced a CD of his songs devoted to Meher Baba, and another consisting of his renderings of works of Hafiz, both of which are the sort of inspiring music one can listen to over and over. A third, also excellent CD is comprised of original blues.

Jamie earned his PhD in History and Critical Theories of Religion, and his MTS in Pastoral Counseling and Theology. He has taught world religions for a number of colleges and universities. Jamie’s expertise includes the South Asian tradition of Qawwali.
